Hi, I am Dennis Bozanich. I founded Praxis Public Policy Consultants LLC because I always wanted to have a "me" to get stuff done. That may sound a little odd, but after more than 20 years in public service at management and executive levels, I appreciate the difficulty of having the time, energy and information to get everything done. I also understand the feeling of frustration that comes with not accomplishing everything on your plate.

I have worked in human resource, budget and policy development roles for mid to large counties here in California. My work in Alameda, Contra Costa and Santa Barbara counties has been consistently recognized for its quality and timeliness in the face of complexity, controversy and changing priorities. I have worked on once-in-a-lifetime issues like developing comprehensive cannabis regulations, ballot measures for taxation and redistricting and worked to improve intergovernmental with cities and tribal governments. I have oriented new members of the Board of Supervisors, led legislative advocacy programming for counties on the federal and State levels, oversaw budget and operations for large health and human services agencies, been a budget analyst and a budget director, trained hundreds of local government employees in a variety of leadership skills and enjoyed every minute of it.   

Praxis Public Policy Consultants LLC assists local governments and those they serve to move efficiently from ideas to execution. We believe in making public policy work for residents and organizations by engaging others in new ways to solve old problems.
